tbh I don't think the post count should be enabled there. It just encourages members to spam and up their post counts - post count is a number, it doesn't matter and by leaving it on you are encouraging people to think it does matter imo. We disabled it over at FTA a while back (and now got rid of the games board ) and it did nothing to the community. Maybe one member who just preyed on the forum games left, but that's not serious. Just my $0.02.

I agree that it is not about the post count and it is the quality of the posts but i feel that a games board suits our forum and it has always been a big part of the forum! Also i dont mind people who like to get big post counts! If they do thats up to them i used to be part of a forum and we all tried to have the most posts! Its all part of the fun of proboards for some people! What do others think?

I feel that you shouldn't support those who want to build up big post counts. They really aren't the type of members you want to have, the real members. If people find upping post counts fun, they need to go to some sort of rehab Don't support it. That's my opinion.

I think that post count should stay because then you can have games that have things to do with your post count.
After all, it's just a number and so what if it goes up... it's not the end of the world or going to get someone killed... I say,
keep the counter!

I like big post counts, it's true, and I rely on the games forum for that, but I just like to play anyway ^^ I'd find other ways of getting my post count up, though it'd be slower.

If you like big post counts, let's be honest, I think you're sad. There's more to life than increasing your post count by playing games. Seriously. Games about post count are the most pointless ones ever too. It doesn't matter! When will you n00bs get it [joking about the n00bs comment before someone slaps me ]

There's more to life than someone worrying over a virtual number that increases when you post

There's more to life than someone worrying over a virtual number that increases when you post That's exactly what I'm saying. The games board having post counts on is just encouraging that.

I'm worrying about it because I don't want us to have the sort of members who think that post count is a status symbol basically, and in turn will act big-headed and all "I should be staff because my post count is XX" and "I'm better than you because I have more posts".
tbh there are problems that could come up soon or down the line. that's why i feel it needs disabling now so it doesn't build up.
