GOAYB RULES:
[/u]Forum owners wishing a rate:
1. Only members at this forum are allowed to post. No guest posting.
2. Before posting, make sure your forum is following all the TOS for your particular service, whether it's a Proboards forum or not.
--No boards conatining sex, nudity, alcohol and any unsuitable content are allowed.
3. When creating a thread, make sure your board is viewable to guests and not in maintenance mode, so our raters can see it.
--Also, put the name of the forum in the subject of the thread.
4. This is not for advertising: Only post in here if you genuinely want a rate on your board.
--Do not ask for affiliates, members, staff members or anything else besides a rate.
5. Do not bump your forum's thread unless it has fallen to page 2. Please be patient with the raters.
6. Only create one thread per forum. Please let us know in that thread if you have made any changes.
7. You may only create a thread if you are the founding admin of the forum. Co-admins and other staff members may not.
8. Please only post the forum title and URL in your post. There is no need for a grand summary. This isn't for advertising.
9. When responding to a rate, please be courteous. Someone took a lot of time to rate your board. Tell them thank you, no matter how much you agree with the rate or not. You asked for it to be rated, take the good with the bad.
10. If using a premade template, please state so in your thread. This way raters know what they can't comment on because it can't be changed (unless it's a unique made for you one).
--Make sure you give credit.
11. Have fun!
For raters:
1. If you do not have your own method of rating, please use one of these listed below. We highly recommend it, especially for new raters, to make sure they are detailed enough.
If you have your own way that is similar, go ahead and use it.

- Did they have custom graphics? Can they be improved? Etc.
Theme/content/boards:
- Can you tell by looking at it what the theme/subject of their forum is? Do they have too many boards? Recommend a new layout for their boards. Do they have enough content? Etc.
Coding/Odds 'n' Ends:
- Can you find any messed up codes? Any codes they could add?
-Is there anything else you noticed?

2. Your rate must be detailed and helpful. This means it needs to be more than just a couple sentences. We want to help these members by giving them as much information as possible as to what they are doing wrong/right.
Do not simply give a rating out of ten or a hundred and leave it at that. This is why we have some examples above of good rating methods.
By all means give a rating number if you want, but you must back up the rating. Justify why you gave the forum that score.
However, a number rating is not necessary. Words explaining why are a lot more useful.
3. Do not reply to threads that break the rules, leave them for staff to deal with.
4. Please try to look back after you rate in case the person has any questions. Answer everything with as much detail and clarity as you can. Don't get upset if the person doesn't understand what you are telling them. Just try to explain it a different way.
These people want our help in making their boards better. It is up the raters to make sure they are fully satisfied with what we tell them.
5. Most importantly, you do not have to wait for a GOAYB mod to rate a board. The mods here are for rating AND moderating/keeping this board in order.
We highly appreciate other members who take the time to rate,
and we thank you.
Misc./FYI Info:
All boards 2 months old or older will be moved to the GOAYB archives. This include forums who have not received a rate in this time AND forums who have received a rate but the owner has not given any acknowledgment of the rate.
