Want to know how to get more members on your forum? Struggling to get peoples attention?
Post ideas here about how to get members and recieve help from others so that your forums can become more successful!

Join three sites get to know them put a cbox on your forum and then tell them about this site say hay lets switch over to my site give them some powers also Id be more than willing to recammend and send people over to your site if you join mine and recammend people to

Join to join is a good way to get members but members and active members are two very different things! An active member is the member at your forum that really counts. You need these to make sure that your forum gets posts and has some purpose to it. If none of your members post then there is no content to your forum. More members are likely to join if you have good content. I also believe that word of mouth is a good way to let people know about the forum. But you must make sure you dont try to pressure people into joining or again you can nd up with alot of members that don't really care about being there.

Advertise on other sites that you go on that are on similar topics. It also helps if that site is active so that people are mor likely to see it. Also if it is allowed you can put a link in your siggy to your site.

we are struggling to get members back. We had someone figure out our main password and they deleted all the info on our forum. all members, all posts, everything. At that point we had 250 posting members. now we only have 37. I am hoping that our members start trickling back, we never had to affiliate or anything, but now I am starting to do that to get new fresh members.
at one point our paranormal team was featured on CNN as well as fox news, and we got a lot of members from that, which was really cool!
