Yes, and please, for now on, per the rules, don't bump your thread unless it falls to page 2. Thanks. : )
Colors/color scheme:
You have a good start on your colors here. You have a limited amount, which is good. Having too many colors is distracting. The blues and black go fairly well with the yellow.
However, I have to say that the yellow link color is a little bright. Kind of blinding to me. Maybe it has do with the blue used for the background. I think you need to tweak this. Maybe a more golden/orange yellow color that isn't so bright.
Also, your cell highlight color is bright green. This not match your color scheme at all. I would go with a dark blue, something a shade or two darker or lighter than that original cell color (BG #1 or 2, I forget).
Link colors: I do like that you changed the thread and member link colors so that it is different than the regular text. Links need to stand out. Again, though, I think that the yellow might be a little bright.
Okay, overall, your colors are okay. I think they need some tweaking, so just work around on that. There are some great hex sites out there, including
December , so look around there for more ideas.
Images/Graphics:
Banner - Nonexistant. The only banner you have is a rotating rules box.
Number one, the rules can just be put in a thread somewhere, or if you need them prominent, in the welcome table.
Number two, try to get a good banner made. There are lots of sites out there, including this one, that had people willing to create graphics. I would make sure it has your forum's title in it and some images, so that people will know what your forum is about from looking at the banner.
Menu buttons - These are good. Nice and simple. However, I think that they do not quite match your color scheme. These are light blue and the rest of your colors are a darker blue.
On/off icons - None. Here, I would get or find some simple ones that have to do with your theme. Perhaps two different colored wizard staffs or something?
Info center icons - See above with on/off icons.
Background - This is really, really crowded and busy. It distracts from all your boards and theme, which should be the main focus of your forums. I would get something simple made that matches your color scheme.
Overall, you have to work on getting some more graphics. It may take time, but it's worth it to get your forum more professional-looking. It'll only help you.
Forum theme/topic/Boards:
Okay, I can tell that this is a Harry Potter RPG forum, just from seeing how many boards you have set up.
Yes, I know how these boards run, but, however, I do think that you should carefully think about whether every single board and category is needed. If every single board will be posted in regularly, fine. But if you can, I would make everything more concise. Perhaps some categories and boards could become boards and sub-boards within a larger category. Use sub-boards to your advantage.
There are way too many boards here for me to effectively suggest a new order. I hope that you know where things could go if you rearrange things.
Along with this, since your main focus is the RPG, I think some of your boards in the "General" category should be moved to the bottom. The RPG should be the main point. The Plot and Announcements and Character Creation can remain at the top, but I think all the off-topic and non-RPG related things can be moved to the bottom. (If you have questions about this, please ask).
Also, going with your theme and topic of the RPG, I would post more in your welcome table. Perhaps the plot of the RPG or anything else pertaining to the main story. Some rules, perhaps. Right now the welcome table has almost no purpose. Use it to your advantage.
Overall, your theme comes across pretty well. I just would work on your boards arrangement and whether you actually need everything.
Odds 'n' ends/Coding:
Your C-box: I would change the colors to make it match your color scheme.
Codes:
I would remove the "<<Home>>" from your top table. You've already centered everything up there, good job, but I would also remove this, especially when you get a new banner.
I would use the code to move the top table below the ads, effectively putting the ad banner to the top of the page, so it doesn't split up your forum.
And that's it. You have a lot of work ahead of you, but if you put in the time to make it better, I assure you, it will be completely worth it.
Just work on those colors and graphics.
Good luck. : )
Any questions on my comments/suggestions, please ask.
