Althazar is a fantasy role-playing site, where people create their own character by choosing a race and an occupation, then go about whatever business they like. This is based off of a story, THIEF!, which centres around the Queen of Bandits and her later-on Consort, Hiroe. But that's beside the point.
You type stories back and forth, essentially, and also develop your character as you go along. There are many different races, such as the shape-shifting Sharra, the powerful Dragonate, dainty Faery, and the lumbering Garen. There are also fantastic (as in fantasy, not awesome-ness) occupations like the steadfast Swordmage, the quick Rogue, and the fiery FlameMaster. Not all these are original, however, and some of the races and belong to books or games I have read/played (like the Abhorsen, a job, and the Felishon, a race).
