cherryblossomsxx.proboards105.com/index.cgiThe geisha world is slowly dying. People are no longer interested in traditional arts. They prefer electric guitar to shamisen, skanking to traditional dance, miniskirts and tank-tops to kimono. We have tried everything; from newspaper ads to blimps. If something isn't done soon, the flower-and-willow world will be no more. After you post your character profile, you'll be sorted into one of three okiya: Ishimoto, Mizuno, or Sasaki, which are in the fictional hanamachi of Hashi-moto. Stages: Shikomi - 0-200 posts. - Grow out your hair. - Learn shamisen, dance, tea ceremony, calligraphy, and flower arranging. - Wear traditional clothing (yukata, zori, etc.) Minarai - 200-300 posts. - Follow your older sister around; observe how she interacts with her customers. - Continue taking lessons. Maiko - 300-450 posts. - Wears elaborate kimono with long sleeves and a dangling, dramamtic obi with five-inch high okobo. - Red collar. - Continue taking lessons. Geiko - 450+ posts - Wears more subdued, mature kimono and a wig instead of using their natural hair. - White collar. - Continue taking lessons. Retirement - Once you reach 700 posts, you have the option of retiring to run an okiya or open your own teahouse, or continuing on as a geiko. Needed: - Heads of the okiya (if you are a leader of an okiya you do not go through any of the stages; you are automatically a retired geiko/geisha). - Customers (for now I will role-play two or three customers. These do not count as one of your three characters and it isn't mandatory to post a character profile). **Now with a money system and shops!
